Mong Duong Thermal Power Station

Mong Duong  Thermal Power Station is one of two stations of Mong Duong Power Center, belonging to the National Electricity Development Plan 2006-2015. The project includes loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), commercial loans, from the Export-Import Bank of Korea and the counterpart fund of EVN. 

The project is invested by EVN, Thermal Power Project Management Board 1 is assigned to manage the project. Contractor of Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd (Korea) is in charge of supplying equipment and installing. 

Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Station has two units with a total installed capacity of 1,080 MW, with an annual electricity output of 6.5 billion kWh; was built on an area of ​​55ha in Area 3, Mong Duong Ward, Cam Pha Town, Quang Ninh Province. 

The station generates electricity to the national grid through the 500kV Mong Duong double circuit line, the 500kV Quang Ninh substation.
